Negative American odds (for example −150) mean you would risk 150 to win 100 at a sportsbook. Positive odds (for example +130) mean 100 would win 130. POWERRANK is not that sportsbook — we show the number so you can read the market.
A quick conversion: for negative odds, implied probability ≈ |odds| / (|odds| + 100). For −150 that is 150/250 = 60%. For positive odds, implied probability ≈ 100 / (odds + 100). For +130 that is 100/230 ≈ 43.5%.
Those two sides will add up to more than 100%. The extra is the sportsbook’s margin (vig). Removing the vig is how you estimate a “fair” pair of probabilities. We already do that when we show market probability on the schedule.
POWERRANK is not a sportsbook. We do not accept wagers, hold gambling balances, or process bets. Odds and implied probabilities describe a market’s price, not a guaranteed outcome. Gambling laws and legal age vary by place — follow the rules where you live. Educational information is not a promise of profit.
