POWERRANK is for people who actually watch the games. Argue the ranking. Call the upset. Ride your school. That energy belongs here. What does not belong here is targeting people, cheating the board, or using the product to scam anyone.
What is in bounds
Disagreement, trash talk, rivalry, and strong sports opinions are allowed. You can say a team is overrated, a pick is cowardly, or a rival fan is wrong about Saturday. Keep it about the sport. If it would still make sense painted on a foam finger, you are probably fine.
What crosses the line
- Harassment, threats, or stalking another person.
- Hate speech or abuse aimed at who someone is — not how they ranked a team.
- Spam, scams, phishing, or trying to move people off POWERRANK to steal accounts.
- Impersonation — pretending to be another fan, a team, or POWERRANK staff.
- Cheating or manipulating rankings, picks, leaderboards, or eligibility.
- Abusive comments, pile-ons, or repeated disruption after being asked to stop.
- Exploiting bugs, lock times, credits, or multiple accounts to game results.
- Illegal content, including anything involving minors or real-world crime.
How enforcement works
Most issues start with a warning. We can skip steps when the conduct is severe — threats, security abuse, fraud, or anything that puts people at real risk.
- Warning. You can still rank and pick. Take it as a reset, not a debate trophy.
- Temporary suspension. The account pauses for a set window. Your history stays.
- Restricted account. Specific features (comments, groups, sharing, and the like) can be limited while picks still count.
- Competitive / leaderboard restriction. You can keep picking; you drop off public boards. We do not delete historical picks or results as punishment.
- Permanent deactivation. For serious or repeated violations. Receipts and grades already recorded are not rewritten to disappear.
Appeals
If an action is eligible, you can appeal from Account status. One open appeal at a time. Statuses you will see: Submitted, Under Review, Approved, or Denied. A person reads it. Internal operator notes are never shown to you.
